Worship Team
Leader: Kandace Huggins

Worship is rooted in Scripture and in our United Methodist heritage and experience. Our worship in both its diversity and its unity is an encounter with the living God through the risen Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Here at Mt. Pisgah Trinity Church, the Worship Team is responsible for the services of worship and the many arms of worship as described below. The team works together to make the worship experience meaningful and inspirational. The Worship Team meets 4 times a year and is always looking for persons who enjoy worship and can help to enhance the worship experience. The team works together to decorate for the Advent and Christmas season and the Lent and Easter season.

The worship team is responsible for Ushers, Greeters, Lay Readers, Acolytes, Choirs, Communion and Paramounts, Flowers and Children's Activity Bags.

Ushers:  They welcome persons to the worship center and gives out the worship folder, help persons to find a seat , are available if someone needs assistance, takes the offering and helps with communion.

Greeters: Are at the front door 15 minutes before the service to greet persons as they arrive.

Lay Readers: Help the pastor in the service, usually doing the Call to Celebrate, Opening Prayer, and the Affirmation of Faith.

Acolytes:Light the candles at the beginning of the service and extinguish them at the end of the service. This is done by children and young people who are int he third grade or older.

Altar Guild (Communion Stewards):  Are responsible to prepare the communion elements and to clean up following the communion service. Also assist in changing the paramounts and the banners and caring for the candles.

Choirs (Adult and Children): The choir directors are responsible to inform the Worship Team of all choir activities.

Flowers: The Worship Team is responsible to make sure there are flowers in the Worship Center at each Service. a Team member oversees this task.
